Haiti Relief Organizations
We have had several requests for information about organizations on the ground in Haiti doing relief work. While it is not our general practice to recommend charities we have heard that the following groups are on the ground in Haiti:
New Missions - has 20+ mission schools in the area serving more than 10,000 families and is rapidly deploying resources to help rebuild and get emergency medical care to the area
Water Missions - delivering water in the villages of Haiti and are working to get water to the affected area
Samaritan's Purse - Franklin Graham issued a plea on television last night as they have a plane full of supplies ready to be delivered.
World Vision - has a Haiti office that was affected by the earthquake. NPR interviewed the director there and they discussed that their first concern would be to check on all the staff and their families, then assist with the relief efforts.
In addition to the above groups, our donors have recommended grants to the following charities: Living in Faith, Christian Light Foundation, Much Ministries, The Anglican Relief and Development Fund, World Relief, Apostolic Christian World Relief, Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Mission of Hope Haiti, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Partners Worldwide, CrossWorld, Lifeline Christian Mission, Hope International, Compassion International.
